Hair
Deep Conditioning: 1/2 Cup mayonnaise Comb mayonnaise through damp hair, wrap with towel for 20 mins and then shampoo.
Soft Hair: 1-2 tablespoons of Apple Cider Vinegar & 3 cups of distilled water Pour over hair as final rinse.
Hair Shine: 1 teaspoon of honey & 4 cups of warm water. ( Blondes may wish to add a squeeze of lemon. )
For brunettes and red heads, a few tablespoons of apple cider vinegar in the rinse water.
Stir together. After Shampooing, Pour mixture through hair. DO NOT RINSE OUT.
Hair Lightener: use 1/4 c. chopped fresh rhubarb to 2 c. boiling water. Cool; strain; apply as a rinse.
Dandruff: Massage Carrot juice on the scalp once in a week.
Apple Cider Vinegar: The vinegar is poured into the hair, massaged into the scalp, and left to dry for a few minutes. Then the hair is washed. The
process is repeated daily until the dandruff disappears, usually within a few days.
Hair Growth: Catnip: Make a rinse of catnip and water to promote hair growth and shine.
Hair color/Highlights: If you use henna to color your hair, use Tea instead of water when mixing your paste. try black or ceylon for brunettes, and
chamomile for blondes.
Face
Dry Lips: Apply a mixture of Vaseline and honey to lips at least 3 times a week to prevent lips from chapping.
Dry Up Blemishes: Dab spot with lemon juice infused with water a few times a day. It will also take the redness out of the blemished area.
Blackheads: Make a paste of oatmeal and water. Apply to skin for 10 mins, or until completely dry and rinse with warm water rubbing the area with your finger tips gently! . Also, Awesome for sunburned face. Not to mention
Oatmeal is great for chicken pox if you get them whenyou're older. It calms the itching for a while. AVOID INSTANT OATMEAL!
Moisture Mask: 2 Tablespoons of honey & 2 teaspoons of milk.Mix together. Smooth over face and throat. Leave on for 10 mins. Rinse off with cool/warm water.
Natural Facial: Half an avocado. Mashed up. Spread thickly on face. Remove with cool water after 20 mins.
For Oily Skin: Cucumber - place cucumber slices on your forehead, chin, and cheeks.
For delicate skin with broken capillaries: Peach - peel peach and grate well, mix with yogurt.
For tired skin that needs a quick lift: Egg whites - beat up one egg white and place it on your face and neck
For dry skin: Milk - mix 1tsp of dried milk with some warm boiled water. Add 1tsp of honey and mix well.
For normal skin: Relaxing - a few times a day clean your face with a cotton ball soaked in warm milk, then rinse with boiled warm water.
Egg Yolk & Honey Facial Mask: ( For Dry Skin Types ) : 1 Tablespoon of honey, 1 egg yolk, 1/2 teaspoon almond oil, & 1 tablespoon plain yogurt. Mix together. Smooth over face. Leave on for 10 mins. Rinse off with warm water. Honey stimulates and smoothes. Egg and Almond oil penetrate and moisturize. Yogurt refines and tightens pores.
Egg Mask: This mask closes the pores and greatly refreshes the face. First beat up the white of the egg and apply it on the face. When it dries up, beat up the yolk and apply that over the white. When that dries and the skin feels
taut, wash it off with warm water.
Bright Eyed Look: Place cucumber slices on eyelids for 10mins while relaxing in a hot bath. Rids puffiness, and redness. Or Squeeze cotton pads out of ice water, place on eyelids and lay down.Raw potato slices laid on sore eyes reduces heat and redness.
Skin
Cleansing : For people with oily and acne skin, because it desinfects skin, closes pores, and prevents pimples. 6-8 lemons, slice them and place in a bowl. Cover with boiling water. Cover and leave for few hours, then strain. Pour the liquid into a bath tub. Place slices in a cotton bag and put them in a tub.
Skin Softening Bath: Add 1/4 cup of honey to bath water for a fragrant, silky bath.
Smoothing Skin Lotion: 1 teaspoon honey, 1 teaspoon vegetable oil, & 1/4 teaspoon lemon juice. Mix together. Rub into hands, elbows, heels, and anywhere that feels dry. Leave on 10 minutes. Rinse off with water.
Shimmer Lotion: This is nice because you don't have to go out and buy it if
you have shimmery eye shadow. Take your lotion, what ever kind you use and your favorite color of eyeshadow for a non-tacky shimmer.
Polish up patchy remnants of a tan: Bring a loofa into bath with you. And try one of these~
3/4 cup of lemon added to your bath water. Helps to bleach a fading tan and smooth away flaky skin.or you can mix a paste with lemon juice plus salt or sugar. Leave on skin for 30 mins and rinse and dry. Dead skin comes off.
Sunburn: Oatmeal is great for soothing sunburn as well as for exfoliating. Fill a sock or cloth with oatmeal and swish it in bath water. Once it has softened up and scrub your body with it.
Hands & Feet
Banana Hand & Foot Cream: Dry hands and feet will become smooth and soft overnight if you mix:
Bananas, Honey, Lemon juice,& Natural margarine. Smear on hands and wear white gloves to bed. Wash off in the morning. For dry feet, smear the mixture on and wear heavy socks to bed, wash off in the morning.
Remove Stains On Nails: Mix 1 tablespoon of lemon juice in a cup of water. Soak nails for 5 to 7 mins.
Foot Softener: Put vaseline all over your feet, especially where your skin is really dry before you go to bed. Put socks on and in the morning your
feet will be so much softer.
Sage Foot Deodorant: Pulverize some dried or fresh sage, sprinkle the powder into shoes before wearing.
Teeth, Gums, & Breath
Breath Fresheners: Chew fresh parsley to sweeten the breath. Chew fennel seeds to freshen the breath. Chew anise seeds to freshen the breath.
Chew a few peppermint or spearmint leaves or drink a cup of peppermint tea
Tooth Care: Using fresh sage leaves, rub over the teeth to clean and whiten.
